EXPOAPA 2026, the leading specialised exhibition for the water sector in the Danube Region and Eastern Europe, together with the International Conference “The Water Industry – Past, Present, Future,” is organised by the Technical and Scientific Council of the Romanian Water Association. The events will take place from September 8 to 10, 2026, at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre in Bucharest, Romania.
Organized annually by the Romanian Water Association, EXPOAPA is the main meeting point for water and wastewater service operators, public authorities, financial institutions, professional associations, academia, and companies providing technologies and solutions for the water sector. The event offers a unique platform for dialogue, the exchange of experience, and the promotion of the latest industry trends and innovations.
The central theme of this year’s international conference addresses one of the most important challenges currently facing the sector: maximising the impact of European investment in water and wastewater infrastructure while ensuring long-term sustainability, efficiency, and resilience.
The conference will bring together representatives of public authorities, water operators, international financial institutions, consulting firms, contractors, technology providers, and professional associations from across Europe.
Discussions will focus on the implementation of EU-funded projects, financing mechanisms, project preparation and evaluation, performance indicators, investment efficiency, and the exchange of best practices from European countries that have successfully benefited from EU co-financing.
